ARE THE A26 ENGINES RELIABLE?
Yes, and the Prime Inc. fleet data on these specific trucks proves it. The A26 has a 1.2 million mile B10 design life, standard SCR/DEF aftertreatment, and over 7 years of real-world validation across thousands of fleet trucks. Most A26 horror stories online share the same root cause as the old MaxxForce issues: deferred maintenance, skipped regen cycles, excessive idling. The LT 625s Pedigree sells are not neglected trucks. Every PM was done on schedule, documented by certified technicians, and the service records come with the truck. Yes. Torque moves trailers, not just horsepower. The A26 delivers up to 1,850 lb-ft of torque depending on rating, and the Eaton Endurant 11-speed AMT is calibrated to keep it in the power band. Prime Inc. runs one of the most fuel-efficient fleets in North America and these LT 625s averaged 8 to 10 mpg in that fleet under real freight.
