THE ONLINE REPUTATION OF THE MX-13 WORRIES ME. IS THE 2023 VERSION THE SAME ENGINE THAT HAD ALL THE PROBLEMS?
No and this matters. The MX-13 complaints you find online are overwhelmingly from the 2013–2017 EPA13 generation. That engine had real issues with its aftertreatment system, particularly under poor maintenance conditions. These warranties are issued and honored solely by PACCAR Inc. and Peterbilt Motors Company; Pedigree Truck & Trailer Sales makes no independent warranty. Work must be performed at an authorized Peterbilt or Kenworth dealer.
