EVERY STAGE, START TO FINISH

INITIAL INSPECTION
Every truck enters a dedicated inspection bay. Technicians complete a full inspection covering 100+ checkpoints: brakes, fluids, filters, structural components, and electrical systems. Brakes must measure 75% or better; anything less gets replaced with new.
MECHANICAL & REPAIRS
On trucks over 300,000 miles the DPF is pulled, cleaned, inspected for cracks, and reinstalled to OEM spec. Full oil change and a new engine air filter. Every flag raised in stage 1 gets diagnosed and fixed, down to small items like washer motors.
OEM / DYNO VERIFICATION
The engine moves to the dyno bay (All trucks in Springfield and only Freightliners in SLC). Power and torque are tested against manufacturer spec and the truck is checked for oil leaks. Every open manufacturer campaign and recall is verified as completed. Nothing moves forward until the drivetrain is confirmed to OEM standard.
TIRE SERVICES
Brand new name brand tires are installed at no extra charge, typically 6 or 10 per truck depending on duals or super singles (customer’s choice). Wheels are polished and Pedigree mud flaps installed.
THREE AXLE ALIGNMENT
Full 3 axle alignment on state of the art equipment. Every truck rolls off the rack straight and true: no pulling, no uneven tire wear, no driver fatigue from a truck that fights you all day.
FINAL MECHANIC INSPECTION
A dedicated Pedigree technician performs a final comprehensive inspection. Every component is re-checked against Pedigree quality standards and DOT compliance. Nothing sells without passing this gate.
BODY SHOP & REPAIR
Paint work, body filler, and touch ups return the exterior to near new condition aside from normal wear. Chrome accents polished or added. The truck doesn’t just run like new, it looks new.
DETAILING & INTERIOR
Prime fleet decals removed. Full interior detail: cabinets, doorknobs, dash, every surface. Seats reupholstered if needed and interior body work completed. Brand new refrigerator and 2 brand new mattresses installed. Exterior fully detailed and shined.
APU SERVICE
The Thermo King TriPac APU is serviced by certified Thermo King technicians, and PM is completed. The truck idles free from day 1: overnight bunk heat and HVAC without burning main engine fuel.
FINAL CLEANING & POLISH
The truck enters the full service wash bay for a hand scrub plus automated cleaning, then a final polish and detail. It leaves Pedigree spotless inside and out, so the first impression is the same impression as a new truck.

WHAT IS THE PEDIGREE 10 STEP ELITE PREP?
The Pedigree 10 Step Elite Prep is the 10 stage reconditioning process every used semi truck Pedigree sells must complete before delivery: initial inspection, mechanical repairs, OEM dyno verification, tire services, 3 axle alignment, final mechanic inspection, body shop, detailing and interior, APU service, and final cleaning.
DOES EVERY TRUCK GO THROUGH THIS PROCESS?
Yes. Every truck, every time, regardless of make, model, or price. A truck does not go up for sale until it has cleared all 10 stages and passed the final mechanic inspection.
WHAT DOES THE INITIAL INSPECTION COVER?
100+ checkpoints are inspected: brakes, fluids, filters, structural components, and electrical systems. Brakes must measure 75% or better. Anything under that standard is replaced with new before the truck moves to the next stage.
ARE THE TIRES BRAND NEW?
Yes. Brand new name brand tires are installed at no extra charge, typically 6 or 10 per truck depending on whether duals or super singles are chosen. IS EVERY TRUCK DYNO TESTED?
Dyno verification is performed at Pedigree locations with a dyno bay (Springfield and Salt Lake City). Where dyno testing is not available (Pittston and Minooka) on site, power, torque, and leak verification are handled through the same OEM standard checks, and every open manufacturer campaign and recall is confirmed complete before the truck moves forward.
DOES THE PEDIGREE 10 STEP ELITE PREP PROCESS COST EXTRA?
No. All 10 stages are included in the price of the truck. The reconditioning is not an add on, a package, or a fee.
WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE 10 STEP ELITE PREP AND THE PEDIGREE PLATINUM PACKAGE?
The 10 Step Elite Prep is the work performed on the truck. The Pedigree Platinum Package is the 16 upgrades and services worth about $23,210 that come with it, including the Thermo King APU, bunk heater, new virgin tires, deer guard, power inverter, new refrigerator, and new mattresses. Every Pedigree truck gets both.
